On the evening of 6 November, the Bar Standards Board will be running a networking event for chambers’ equality and diversity officers to be held at Holborn Bars. The aim of the event is to promote understanding of the new equality rules and to share best practice.
The conference will be addressed by keynote speaker, The Hon. Dame Linda Dobbs DBE. The Hon. Dame Linda Dobbs DBE was a High Court judge in England and Wales from 2004 to 2013. She was also a member of the General Council of the Bar and chaired the Professional Standards Committee and the Race Relations Committee.
The keynote speech will be followed by workshops on work allocation monitoring, diversity data collection/ publication, parental leave in chambers, harassment and reasonable adjustments. Delegates will be given the opportunity to network and share experiences of implementing the rules. We have applied for CPD accreditation for this event.
