The Information Commissioner’s Office fined the Crown Prosecution Service £200,000 for failing to keep secure recorded police interviews with victims and witnesses. The matter came to light after the theft of two laptops from a film studio that edited them. The laptops were password-protected but not encrypted and the studio had no alarm and insufficient security.
