Athina is a criminologist currently pursuing a PhD at City University London’s Centre for Law Justice and Journalism. Her research interests include interpersonal violence, the Criminal Justice System and social constructions of crime. Her thesis is concerned with the three mass public shootings in the UK (Hungerford, Dunblane and Cumbria) in the past 30 years.
