Karl Laird is a lecturer in law at St John’s College Oxford and an associate member of the Oxford Law Faculty. He is co-author of Smith and Hogan’s Criminal Law and Smith and Hogan’s Text, Cases and Materials on Criminal Law. He is also a team lawyer at the Law Commission for England and Wales.
