We are based in South West London and in normal times, our team can work out of any of 5 locations as well as remotely - agile working has been business as usual for a long time in SLLP. We have a wide range of flexible working options and have developed a number of health and well-being initiatives over the years.
We are looking for energetic and enthusiastic applicants, keen to develop their skills in a public sector environment. Please do not be put off if you don’t have local government expertise – it is your determination to provide a top class legal service which will matter most, the rest can follow.
We want to recruit an advocate within our Social Care and Education team, to join our existing team of 5 advocates, to cover maternity leave for one year. You will primarily undertaking advocacy in care proceedings. We are looking for a qualified barrister or solicitor with experience of undertaking multiple day hearings of up to 5 days.
We offer the opportunity to work from home ( except for court attendance), provide paid annual leave of 5 weeks, the opportunity to work with professional clients, and to enhance your knowledge of care proceedings from a local authority perspective. You will also have the opportunity to provide training to clients and briefings.
