Bankruptcy – Sequestration – Reappointment of former trustee in sequestration. Sheriff Court : Refusing an application by a former trustee in sequestration who sought reappointment after he and the debtor had been discharged, following receipt of a payment in respect of a claim for refund of payment protection insurance payments the debtor had made to a bank, on the information provided the court concluded that no one was likely to derive any significant benefit from the reappointment of the former trustee other than the professionals involved and that it was not an appropriate exercise of the court's discretion to grant the application: the court went on to set out options which were available to the former trustee in relation to the funds he continued to hold.
