Coroner – Inquest. The Divisional Court, in allowing an application for judicial review, held that only the High Court, and not the coroner, had power to make an order requiring disclosure by the Air Accidents Investigation Branch of the Department for Transport of a cockpit flight and voice data recorder and/or a full transcript of that recording. Accordingly, the coroner's disclosure notices issued during the course of an inquest would be quashed, as would the fines she had imposed for non-compliance.
