European Union – Rules on competition. The General Court of the European Union dismissed the action by Topps Europe Ltd, an undertaking which marketed collectible products in Europe, against a decision of the European Commission to reject its complaint concerning the infringement of arts 101 and 102 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union by certain football governing bodies and players' associations in connection with the licensing and acquisition of various intellectual property rights for the purposes of producing stickers and trading cards relating to national and international football tournaments.
