Landlord and tenant – Lease – Option to terminate – Validity of notice. Court of Session: In an action in which the tenant of commercial premises sought declarator that an option to terminate the lease of the premises had been validly exercised, the court granted decree of declarator, holding that although the heading of the letter from the pursuer's agents serving notice on the defender for the purpose of exercising the break option contained a clerical error, the operative element of the notice was sufficiently clear and unambiguous that the reasonable recipient would not have been perplexed in any way by the error in the letter heading.
