European Union – Workers. The Court of Appeal, Civil Division, dismissed the appellant Slovakian national's appeal against decisions upholding the respondent Secretary of State's refusal of her claim for employment and support allowance on the basis that she did not have the required right to reside in the United Kingdom. Secretary of State for Work and Pensions v Czop and another ([2012] All ER (D) 65 (Sep)) precluded the appellant's argument that words could be read into art 10 of Regulation (EU) No 492/2011 of the European Parliament and Council, so that 'worker' included a self-employed person.
