Personal Injury: Quantum Case. Road traffic accident. Orthopaedic injuries and psychiatric and psychological damage. PSLA of £9,500. The claimant developed pain in the neck, right wrist and swelling and bruising to both knees. The claimant also suffered shock and anxiety. The bruising and swelling subsided after six to seven weeks but a full recovery was not expected for the neck and shoulder for 18–24 months. The claimant also suffered from psychological symptoms with a duration of 18 months.
